Fencing, Tree Care & Site Clearance in Rhymni / Rhymney
Operating directly from our Pontypool base, JDP Outdoor Solutions provides heavy-duty fencing installations, certified tree surgery, and licensed garden clearances for residential and commercial properties across Rhymni / Rhymney.
Outdoor Work Built for Rhymni / Rhymney's Exposed Landscape
Properties in Rhymni / Rhymney sit high at the northern end of the valley, subjected to heavy hill rainfall, severe wind funnels, and steep gradients. Whether working behind traditional hillside terraces with narrow rear lane access or managing large boundary lines on exposed slopes, standard DIY materials and lightweight fencing panels rarely survive a Welsh winter here.
At JDP Outdoor Solutions, led by owner Jac Price, we tailor our gear and fixings to this exact terrain. As an accredited installer of Birkdale DuraPost steel systems, we install cold-rolled galvanised steel posts that withstand gusts up to 110mph and cannot rot in waterlogged valley soil. For sloping boundaries, our bespoke vertical featheredge fencing steps cleanly down natural inclines without compromising ground-level security.
Steep Slope Stability
Deep concrete post foundations, gravel boards, and stepped panels designed specifically for valley contours.
Tight Terrace Access
Specialised compact rigging equipment and portable stump grinders suited for restricted garden gates and rear lanes.

Local Enquiries in Rhymni / Rhymney
Do you charge extra to travel to Rhymni / Rhymney from Pontypool?
No. Rhymni / Rhymney is comfortably within our standard 15-mile operating radius from our NP4 base. We travel across the valley regularly and all quotation visits are free of charge with no hidden fuel or call-out fees.
My rear garden is terraced with narrow lane access. Can you get equipment in?
Yes. Many properties in Rhymni / Rhymney have pedestrian-only side gates or steep rear lanes. We use narrow-access stump grinders, sectional climbing gear, and manual handling methods designed to pass through standard garden gates without damaging doorways or paths.
Which fencing holds up best against the high winds in the upper valley?
In exposed valley areas, traditional 3x3 or 4x4 timber posts tend to snap or rot within 5 to 8 years due to persistent damp. We recommend Birkdale DuraPost galvanised steel posts or deeply bedded slotted concrete posts paired with heavy-duty vertical featheredge boards. Steel posts will not rot, warp, or crack under gale-force valley conditions.
How do you dispose of the branches, soil, or broken panels?
JDP Outdoor Solutions holds an official Upper Tier Waste Carrier Licence. Everything we take from your property is logged and disposed of legally through approved South Wales commercial recycling and transfer stations. You are completely protected against fly-tipping liability.
Nearby Locations We Cover
In addition to Rhymni / Rhymney, we regularly carry out tree work, fencing repairs, and clearances across neighbouring valley towns and uplands within our 15-mile operating boundary:
