Professional Patio Jet Washing Across
Pontypool & South Wales

A patio coated in algae is more than just an eyesore; it becomes a significant slip hazard during our frequent rainy spells. Beyond safety, the deep-rooted growth of lichen and moss can physically break down the mortar joints between your paving slabs. This degradation leads to loose slabs and can cause long-term structural issues that are far more expensive to fix than a professional clean. We bring industrial-grade power and a careful hand to your property, ensuring we remove the dirt without causing the damage often associated with high-pressure blasting.

We follow a structured, multi-stage process to ensure the best results for every material, from delicate Indian sandstone to robust block paving. First, we conduct a thorough surface assessment to determine the appropriate pressure and technique for your specific stone. We then use commercial-grade rotowash equipment to lift deep-seated contaminants. Crucially, our service includes a post-wash inspection of your mortar joints. If we find crumbling or failed pointing, we offer expert repointing services using durable, modern compounds to prevent future weed growth and water ingress. As a licensed waste carrier, we ensure that every bit of sludge and debris is cleared and disposed of legally.

We operate a consistent service across a 15-mile radius from our Pontypool base, covering the unique terrain of the Torfaen valleys through to the coastal lowlands of Newport and Caldicot. Whether your garden is a steep hillside terrace in Abergavenny that requires careful rigging and access, or a large suburban driveway in Newport, we have the right gear for the job. Our team understands the challenges of local drainage and moisture retention, allowing us to deliver a finish that stands up to the Welsh weather.

Many customers ask if jet washing will damage their patio joints. If done with excessive pressure or the wrong equipment, it certainly can; that is why we combine high-power cleaning with restorative repointing to secure your joints afterwards. Regarding black spots on Indian sandstone, these are often lichen spores that require specific professional treatments combined with controlled pressure. If you are concerned about garden waste or runoff, you can rest assured that JDP Outdoor Solutions holds a Full Waste Carrier Licence, meaning we manage all clearing and disposal in full compliance with local environmental regulations. If your patio issues stem from shade caused by overhanging trees, we can also assist with tree pruning or thinning to let more light into your garden.
